Aston Martin has quite a bit of news in store for its SUV. Not only will the Aston Martin DBX come on the market with a hybrid powertrain, the SUV will also get an extra sporty S version.

Aston Martin has sent out a DBX that is wrapped in a very striking sticker sheet. On the windows we see the hashtag #OGYMRU, where you have to think about a space. O Gymry means ‘Made in Wales’ in Welsh, a reference to the fact that the DBX was Aston Martin’s first car to be produced in St. Athan, Wales. On the back of the car you can still read something of the text ‘Don’t Crack Under Pressure’, the slogan of watchmaker Tag Heuer, who is a sponsor of Aston Martin Racing, among others. Enough about stickers, what’s hiding under the camouflage work?

Quite a bit, because it seems that Aston Martin has started testing with an extra potent version of the DBX, which may be called DBX S. The packed SUV has a more heavily styled front bumper than the already familiar DBX, complete with larger air intakes. The grille is not made up of horizontal slats, but of a sportier-looking mesh. On either side of the buttocks of this test model are double silencers, which amounts to a total of four exhaust tailpipes for the DBX S.

The Aston Martin DBX has a 550 hp and 700 Nm biturbo 4.0 V8 from Mercedes-AMG under the hood, which is 40 hp stronger in the DBX than in the Vantage V8. We are aiming for that eight-cylinder in the DBX to be pumped up even further, although we secretly hope that Aston Martin still can use the V12 from the special V12 Speedster and now DBS called ‘DBS Superleggera’ in the car.
