The Mercedes fanatics of the German tuner Brabus have tackled the cap. For a change, the tuner with a taste for excessive amounts of horsepower grabs a relatively modest engine version.
At the top of the power ladder of the CAP is currently the 306 hp AMG 35 variant. That provisional top version will be demoted to sub-top at a later stage when the mighty AMG 45 version presents itself. Tuner Brabus leaves the Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 for what it is and concentrates on the next most powerful regular version: the GLB 250.
The GLB 250 basically has a 224 hp and 350 Nm strong 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine under the hood, a petrol block that helps the seven-seater SUV in 6.9 count at a top speed of 100 km / h. Its top speed: 236 km / h. Those are apparently not figures that Brabus is very enthusiastic about and so it injects the SUV with a power injection. The tuner screws its PowerXtra B25-dipped power module into the cap, a rewritten engine management system that brings an extra 47 hp and 80 Nm to the blown two-liter engine. This brings the total power to 271 hp and 430 Nm. The 0-100 sprint is over in 6.6 seconds with this new bonk muscle power. The top speed has been increased to 240 km / h. Both the GLB 250 with 4Matic and without all-wheel drive can be delivered to Brabus. The tuner also says that he is working on power modules for the lesser gods of the CAP range. So also count on power courses for the GLB 180, 200 and for diesel versions such as the 180d, 200d and 220d.
Brabus wouldn’t be Brabus if it weren’t topping the cap with a spicy tuner sauce consisting of familiar ingredients like 18, 19 and 20-inch alloy, heavy-looking bumper and spoiler work, and things like custom floor mats and sport pedals. The cap comes up to 3 centimeters closer to the asphalt and those who wish will also get an exhaust system consisting of a total of four exhaust tailpipes under their cap. The additional LED lamps incorporated in the roof are worthy of a separate mention.
