Facelift for GMC Terrain

Facelift for GMC Terrain

The American GMC is carrying out a facelift on the Terrain. The 4.65 meter long SUV is being upgraded both outside and inside.

Introduced in 2017, the Terrain is GMC’s best-selling car worldwide. At least, if we do not include the sales of pick-up Sierra – the brother of the Chevrolet Silverado – for a moment. It is not surprising that the Terrain runs so well. The Terrain is the smallest SUV of the brand, which the Acadia and Yukon above it has to tolerate. Still, with his height of 4.65 meters, he is not a small youngster. He operates in the segment in which the Ford Kuga, called Escape in the United States, also operates. GMC is now undergoing a facelift.

GMC Terrain (2017-2021)

The GMC Terrain gets a new front where the boomerang-shaped headlights have grown a lot compared to the viewers of the now four-year-old original. Both the headlights and the rear lights are LED copies. The grille is now different in shape, while the bumpers and alloy wheels have been revised. The interior also underwent a makeover, but here the changes are minimal. New materials are used, the fully loaded Denali version now has an 8-inch digital instrumentation and under the infotainment system we find a small trackpad.

New for the GMC is the AT4 version, a more roughly decorated variant with tougher-looking bumpers, skid plates and a modified grille. The GMC, the brother of the Chevrolet Equinox and Buick Envision, is only available in the United States with one power source: 1.5 turbo engine with 173 hp. The 255 hp blown 2.0 seems to be canceled. The GMC Terrain is not coming to the Netherlands.
