Facelift on the way for Seat Arona

The smallest crossover that Seat has on the menu is the Arona, an SUV affiliated with the Ibiza that is now three years old. Time for a facelift!

The Seat Arona, presented in 2017, was the first of the Volkswagen Group’s compact high-legged triplets, which, in addition to the Arona, consists of the Volkswagen T-Cross and Skoda Kamiq. In terms of design, the Arona still fits perfectly between the Ibiza and Ateca within the Seat family, but to keep the model up to date, a facelift is being worked on behind the scenes.

The Arona visible in these photos and still richly covered with camouflage material has apparently not been tackled too harshly. Remarkably enough, the Arona does not get the renewed headlights of the recently facelifted Ateca. There are some changes at the front of the Arona. For example, the crossover clearly gets a larger grille than the current model and Seat also seems to be working on the front bumper of the Arona. It is likely that the Spaniards are also upgrading the interior. Count on renewed infotainment and higher-quality materials.

We are not aiming for the Arona to suddenly be available with extensive electrified powertrains. In any case, count on the return of the TSI and TGI versions. Whether the 95 hp 1.6 TDI will be maintained remains to be seen.
