Facelifted BMW M5 plays outside

Just before BMW shows the facelifted 5-series, the sporty M5 can still taste the Nürburgring. The pop sedan has been caught during a practice round on the famous German circuit.

Since July last year, BMW has been teasing the world with camouflaged versions of the facelifted 5 series. The M5 also showed itself secretly, but not yet at the Nürburgring. Until today, because the executioner of a 5-series puts on his sports suit and is apparently thoroughly tested on the more than twenty kilometers long circuit.

As has become clear in the meantime, partly thanks to leaked images, BMW is very concerned with the facelift of the 5-series. The headlights take on a slightly tighter shape and lose the “snack” at the bottom. The bumper work also gets some adjustments at the front, such as the grilles on both corners of the front bumper. An extra decorative strip is now incorporated in this. Most likely, only a different layout of the lamps is planned for the rear.

The power of the 600 hp 4.4 V8 is probably not much added, although it is possible that the standard M5 is just as powerful as the current 625 hp delivering Competition. The current 5-series has been running since 2016. The M5 was released in the summer of 2017.
