Facelifted Mini Countryman explores Nürburgring

The Mini Countryman has been waiting for a makeover for almost a year. The updated variant of the long-legged Mini, introduced more than three years ago, now seems to be working on its last test kilometers.

Of the complete Mini model range, the Countryman is the only one that is still in its showroom in its original guise. The current generations of three- and five-door, Clubman and Cabrio have already undergone a rejuvenation treatment. The Countryman is likely to follow in the coming months. After all, it has been eight months since the facelift first appeared. Since then, the camouflage department has unfortunately been no less enthusiastic, because things are still well sealed.

For the time being, the frivolous yellow-black print reveals that slightly modified air intakes in the front bumper, new headlights (optional with LED lighting and matrix function) and completely new taillights with the Union Jack in them are among the adjustments. Incidentally, these photos feature the All4 version of the Countryman, which, as the name suggests, unleashes its powers on all wheels. It will also be available as a plug-in, the S E with a system power of 224 hp. The range of engines is expected to remain virtually unchanged. That means that there are petrol versions from a 1.5 three-cylinder turbo with 102 hp to a 306 hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo in the price list. Dieselen starts with a blown 2.0-liter four-cylinder of 150 hp.
