Volkswagen has the facelifted Polo in the development rooms. Unfortunately for the brand, the first photos of the renewed Polo have already appeared on the internet, while the introduction of the model is only on the agenda for tomorrow.
Three images already show the renewed appearance and the sharpened interior of the current generation Volkswagen Polo, presented in 2017. The plates leaked via an auto forum confirm what we actually already knew: the Polo is going under the knife quite drastically.
With its renewed muzzle, the Polo creeps closer to the Golf in terms of design. The Polo has new headlights with extensions and the layout is also new. The LED daytime running lights, probably optionally, merge into an LED strip that optically ties the light units together. The grille seems to have become a bit flatter and at the bottom of the nose we notice a new bumper, just like at the rear. The R logo in the grille also betrays that we have a sportier and more lavishly decorated R-Line version in front of us. The Polo also shows similarities with the Golf on the back. The square rear lights are replaced by larger ones that from now on continue in the tailgate. From now on we read the model name of the car centrally on the valve.
In the interior, the adjustments seem less drastic. The infotainment system and steering wheel look sharpened, and under the air vents is a striking new climate control panel. It seems that the Polo, just like the Passat, Golf and ID3, gets touch-sensitive buttons to control everything.
We don’t have exact details yet. That will follow tomorrow when the new Volkswagen Polo is officially presented.
