As an EV startup, Faraday Future is still in what we will call the ‘difficult phase’. That doesn’t stop the company from being ambitious, so it is already announcing that it is working on a second model. After the FF 91 we can soon count on the FF 92.

The Faraday Future FF 92 is only mentioned once by Faraday Future, so don’t expect details or specifications in any form. Although the name ‘FF 92’ seems to be a logical continuation of the previously presented FF 91, this is still news. The brand previously indicated that the next model would be called FF 81, with the first of the two numbers in the name indicating that this would be a slightly lower positioned model for a larger audience. The FF 92 has a ‘9’ and is therefore at the same level as the FF 91. It seems to be mainly about ‘maintaining the lead’, as Faraday Future calls it. A second top model, but perhaps in a new or simply different form.

It is difficult to underestimate exactly how high the level of Faraday’s 9 series is. Faraday Future thinks the FF 91 itself is of Maybach or Ferrari level and has so far charged many tons for the MPV-like super-EV. For that money you get a three-motor EV with a lot of space, insanely fast sprint times and a good range thanks to a large 142-kWh battery. Faraday Future pays a lot of attention to the theme of ‘artificial intelligence’ and reportedly provides the FF 91 with all kinds of AI assistants. The FF 91 is not yet running very fast: Faraday Future reported the first car delivered last year, but has reportedly only handed over a handful of cars to (internal?) customers since then. In a new press release, the company once again explains in detail how it wants to become financially healthier. In addition to scaling up production, this also includes significant cost savings in the area of material use.

Faraday Future is based in California, but under Chinese control. The company focuses on the Middle East. For example, it wants to gain a share in the United Arab Emirates, where half of the cars on the road must be electric by 2050. That is why Faraday Future is also announcing a version specifically tailored to this market: the Faraday Future FF 91 ‘aiFalcon’.
