Festival of the Unexceptional is canceled

In Lincolnshire, UK, this year’s Festival of the Unexceptional has been dashed. Enthusiasts should be patient until next year for a new edition of the event.

While many classic events fill the site with the most expensive and special classics, visitors to the Festival of the Unexceptional come for the less striking classics. Old Corsas, Escorts or the heritage of not too spectacular British brands such as Austin: ‘normal’ cars in all imaginable colors and shapes stand side by side on a very large lawn. People also speak of the Concours de l’Ordinaire. The festival was supposed to take place for the seventh time on July 25, but the corona virus throws a spanner in the works.

The organization announces that the event will be canceled this year and will be postponed to the summer of 2021. Grimpsthorpe Castle grounds in Lincolnshire will host whatever it would have been this summer.

The Festival of the Unexceptional isn’t the only classic event to do with the effects of the corona virus. It was previously announced that the Mille Miglia and Techno Classica have moved. The Goodwood Festival of Speed has also been postponed.

The ninth edition of Techzle Classics in 2019 contains a report about the remarkable festival. That edition is here to find back.
