Fiat Panda delivery range thinned out – on to the new one

Fiat has made the Panda delivery range even clearer than it already was. While the Fiat Panda was previously available in four versions, the compact Fiat is now only available in two versions on the Dutch price list.

If you use the configurator on Fiat’s website, you will only find the Panda in two versions. Until a few months ago, Fiat still supplied the Panda in an unnamed standard trim, as Red, as Garmin and as Cross. There are only two left. The absolute entry-level version remains and the Cross version is also still available. The Red and Garmin versions must be retired.

The starting price of the Fiat Panda has not been tampered with, which means that the entry-level version costs €17,190 again. That unnamed basic version stands on 14-inch steel wheels with caps, but that is not a sign of extremely meager standard equipment. You get air conditioning, electrically operated front side windows, central door locking with remote control and a DAB+ radio with USB and Bluetooth connectivity and a 5-inch display. The Panda Cross – which costs €20,690 – has 15-inch steel wheels with different hubcaps than the basic version and different bumpers all around. It also offers, among other things, a radio with 7-inch display, climate control, roof rails, three headrests in the rear, electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirrors, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, artificial leather on the steering wheel and gear knob, LED daytime running lights, a light sensor, fog lights and a rain sensor. Regardless of the chosen version, the Panda has a 70 hp and 92 Nm strong mild-hybrid 1.0 with a manual gearbox.

On the model page of the Panda we also come across an Urban version positioned between the unnamed entry-level version and the Cross. However, this does not appear in the configurator or on the price list. We are awaiting an explanation from the Dutch importer on that version.

The now 12-year-old current Panda doesn’t have to sing it out for long. Next year Fiat will launch a completely new Panda. Fiat thus opens its attack on the Dacia Spring. Indeed: the Fiat Panda will have an electric powertrain. Not in the market for an electric Panda? Don’t worry, there also seem to be versions with combustion engines.
