Love for a sweetheart

Gasoline prices are skyrocketing and you can almost take out a loan for a train ticket. Yet it is still possible to stay mobile for very little money. Look at this nice Fiat Seicento! For sale for next to nothing, albeit with a small caveat.
Here on AutoWeek.nl you can read about new cars every day and the sometimes almost insane amounts are flying around your ears. For a bit of a B-segment car you can easily pay €30,000 and we would almost dare to label the new Mitsubishi Colt with naturally aspirated 1.0 as cheap with its price tag of just under €22,000. Of course we won’t do that, because it is still a lot of money. New cars have become very expensive and it is wonderfully refreshing to regularly browse through the second-hand offering. Today we find one of the cheapest cars in a long time, which was prominently featured on this site.
It is a real Fiat Seicento from 1998 in a color that is described as orange, but could also easily have been called salmon pink. We took a look at the brochure and it seems that this is neither an orange nor a pink color, but a color that Fiat called ‘Modigliani Red’. That is also one of the few fashionable things about this Seicento, because it is wonderfully modest with its dark bumpers and steel wheels. The same can be said of its equipment: the central locking that the seller advertises is just about the most luxurious accessory. We paid extra for this, because the Seicento S did not have that as standard. Furthermore, it is simply an extremely functional little one, which with its 899 cc and 39 hp will take you from A to B without too much haste.
Fiat Seicento
Whether he takes you from A to B depends on what may emerge during the inspection. That’s the biggest catch with this Seicento: it no longer has a valid MOT. The last expired in April. A possible reassurance is that no points of attention were reported during the previous three inspections. The mileage of 118,671 km is also neat and, apart from a somewhat crumpled license plate, we see no shocking things about the appearance of the car in the photos. With the €450 that is asked for it, you really can’t go wrong. So, are you looking for a particularly cheap way to make yourself mobile or do you just have a soft spot for this Italian little one and want to give it a further existence? Make your move!
