The fully electric Fiat 500e has been with us for about two years, but there is still no sporty Abarth. In any case, it will come! These photos show a packed example of the first ever electric Abarth.

Abarth also cannot escape the EV dance. Abarth currently supplies sportier versions of the Fiat 500 with combustion engines, but a variant with Abarth badges will also come of the fully electric Fiat 500e. The development of that sporty electric 500 is quite a challenge, as it turned out earlier this year. Abarth CEO Olivier François indicated that the Fiat 500e needs to be modified more than expected to make it an Abarth. The packed test sample in these photos proves that we succeeded.

The packed Abarth 500e in these photos differs from the Fiats in a number of ways. It has, among other things, a front bumper with small holes, large light metal and a larger roof spoiler. An image of the electric Abarth is already roaming the digital highways, with a large Abarth lettering on the muzzle.

The Fiat 500e is available with a 24-kWh battery and with a larger 42-kWh one. The small battery expect in any case not in the Abarth. The most powerful Fiat 500e variant produces 118 hp. The Abarth naturally goes beyond that. It is not yet clear whether Abarth will call its variant of the electric small Fiat 595 and 695 again.
