Production start November

The American Fisker is taking a fully-loaded copy of the electric Fisker Ocean to the Paris auto show. Not without reason, because production will start in November in Austria and the first deliveries are planned for a few months afterwards. Yes, also in Europe, but don’t get too happy.
When you think of Fisker, you may still think of the Karma, which came on the market in 2012 and seemed to be just as successful. That Karma is now called Karma Revero and is therefore no longer Fisker, while Fisker himself will try again with, among other things, the Fisker Ocean. This all-electric SUV is a typical product of sunny California, but Fisker has certainly not forgotten the rest of the world. The car is comparable in size to a BMW X3 and therefore fairly compact. Fisker introduces it simultaneously in nine different countries, seven of which are in Europe. The Ocean is also being built here (for the whole world), more specifically at Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria.
As the market launch of the Fisker Ocean approaches, Fisker is taking a copy to the Paris Motor Show. Top version Fisker Ocean Extreme will be there from October 17th. This version offers four-wheel drive and a range of 630 km. An open panoramic roof and a 17.1-inch touchscreen are also included for that money. The Ocean Extreme even has built-in solar cells, which should be able to provide up to 2,400 km of free kilometers annually.
French prices
The Fisker Ocean Extreme will cost €69,950 in France, undoubtedly indicative of what will be asked for in the Netherlands. There is also an introductory version, the One, which has the exact same price and stands out among other wheels. A step lower we find the Ocean Ultra. It costs €57,500, comes a little less with 610 km and has a slightly less impressive audio system. Also, rear seat heating seems to be missing here. The basic version is called Fisker Ocean Sport. That version comes with 440 km far less than the rest and has one electric motor, which drives the front wheels from the nose. He also does it without the ‘California Mode’, where all (really all) side and rear windows and the large glass roof are opened and you almost feel like you are in a convertible as a passenger. Even so, the sport has a sunroof and the 17.1-inch touchscreen is also standard here. This less spacious version also costs considerably less: €41,900.
Fisker Ocean ‘California Fashion’
And now for the bad news: the Netherlands is not one of the nine chosen countries. These are the United States, Canada, Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom. A little getting used to for the Netherlands, which can usually count itself among these types of companies due to the favorable EV climate. We have checked with Fisker when we can expect the Ocean here and will keep you informed of the answer.
