FiskerOcean

The Fisker Ocean will really appear in our country one of these days, or at least that is the idea. Today we can not only present more images of the new electric SUV, but also indicative prices of the three versions.

The Fisker Ocean introduction is a bit different than usual, although that is what we have come to expect from new manufacturers. ‘Less orchestrated’ might also be a good description, and that’s kind of funny. This way we receive more facts and figures left and right about the three versions that Fisker wants to introduce of its first new model since the disappearance of the ‘old’ Fisker: the Ocean. We have already spotted that car in Norway (see photos, Tesla for scale) and has now also been photographed in more detail and more realistically by Fisker himself.

Not surprising, by the way, because the first copies delivered to customers have been on the road for a while. It is all the more remarkable that there is still so much vagueness when it comes to specifications and prices, but today we can shed some light on the matter. Previously, the Fisker site showed what the three versions would cost ‘indicatively’. Those prizes are now gone, but we still have them for you. Don’t count on any big surprises, because the prices are close to the prices previously communicated for the French market.

Fisker Ocean Sports

The entry-level version, the Fisker Ocean Sport, costs about €43,000 according to the new indication. For that money you get a Fisker Ocean with a ‘Touring Range’ battery pack that is not specified in kWh, good for a range of about 440 kilometers. A single electric motor delivers 275 hp, good for a 0 to 100 sprint of 7.4 seconds. Somewhat unusual in EV land is that the electric motor does not drive the rear wheels, but the front wheels.

The Fisker Ocean Sport also lags behind the other versions in terms of equipment. That certainly does not mean that it is bare – we hope to discuss it again in ‘Back to Basics’ – but it does mean that you get a more simply finished interior and, for example, have to make do with fewer driving modes. The panoramic roof cannot open in this version, nor can the windows in the tailgate and the rear side windows. The unique ‘California Mode’, where all windows and the roof open to create a kind of convertible feeling, is not available for Sport buyers.

Fisker Ocean Ultra

If you want the wind in your hair, you should at least purchase a Fisker Ocean Ultra. In addition to ‘California Mode’, the Ultra has a better audio system and a lot more power and range. Two electric motors provide four-wheel drive and 540 hp, so that the Ultra goes from 0 to 100 in 4.2 seconds. The battery is called ‘Hyper Range’ here and in the Fisker Ocean Ultra it has a range of 610 kilometers. The indicative price of all that beauty: €58,608.

Fisker Ocean Extreme (and One)

‘Hyper’, ‘Ultra’: Fisker likes superlatives. Especially when you consider that the ‘Ultra’ is not the top version. That honor goes to the Fisker Ocean Extreme. This car also has a ‘Hyper Range’ battery, but surprisingly it provides a range of 707 km. This is also the only battery for which we know a capacity: 113 kWh. 564 hp here means a 0-100 time of 3.9 seconds and the Fisker Ocean Extreme is of course packed with everything Fisker has to offer. For example, the openable roof is expanded with solar collectors, what Fisker calls the SolarSky Roof. We secretly already knew the price of the Fisker Ocean Extreme: €71,058. In addition to the Extreme, there is also a Fisker Ocean One. That is the introductory version, which is largely the same as the Extreme in terms of equipment and specifications.
