The Fisker Ocean will make its European debut at the Mobile World Congress in the Spanish city of Barcelona. The brand also immediately shares its first plans for the European market introduction of the electric SUV.
Fisker goes fast. At the end of last year, the brand indicated when the production version of the Ocean was unveiled that it would initially focus on the American market and only later wanted to set up a European market introduction. The latter comes a little earlier than expected, because the Fisker Ocean is not yet available and Fisker is already presenting its plans for the European market in Barcelona. At the end of this year, the Ocean will be launched simultaneously in America and ‘selected European and Scandinavian countries’. It is not yet clear whether he will also come to the Netherlands.

The brand also gives a European starting price for the Ocean. In Spain, entry-level Ocean Sport will cost €41,900. That price includes taxes, but without subsidy. Should Fisker also bring the Ocean onto the market in the Netherlands, a starting price of around 45 mille would seem realistic. That variant has the Touring Range battery, which, according to Fisker, is good for a WLTP range of 440 kilometers. Please note: this concerns a non-certified figure based on ‘own simulations’. This is also a higher range than the brand stated last year. For the larger ‘Hyper Range’ battery, Fisker promises a WLTP range of 610 to 630 kilometers.
Fisker is currently setting up a brand experience center in Munich, which also houses Fisker’s European headquarters. Other European countries will receive these in due course, although Fisker does not yet state which ones. The start-up also says that customers will receive a 10-year, 160,000 km warranty on the battery and powertrain, while the entire car is covered by a six-year, 100,000 km warranty. Fisker has the Ocean built at Magna Steyr in Austria. Whether the ambitions of founder Henrik Fisker will succeed this time will have to become clear at the end of this year.
