Full of tricks
Fisker recently announced that it will also settle in the Netherlands. First with the electric Ocean, but later also with the Alaska, Ronin and the less wild but perhaps much more important Pear. We now not only have an extensive photo series of that more compact electric SUV, but also more specifications available.
The Fisker Ocean is a 4.77 meter long electric SUV that you can now also sign up for in the Netherlands. That SUV won’t remain Fisker’s only car. The brand also says it will bring the electric pick-up Alaska and the crazy and at least 1,000 horsepower Ronin to our country. Much more important is probably the pear. That electric SUV-like is considerably smaller than the Ocean and must also be offered at a lower price, although the Dutch prices of both EVs are not yet known at this time. We can now show you the Fisker Pear in detail.
Model name Pear is of course reminiscent of a fruit, but ‘Pear’ is actually an abbreviation of Personal Electric Automotive Revolution. The Fisker Pear was developed jointly by Fisker and Foxconn and should receive a starting price of around €27,500 in its home country, the United States. The Pear can accommodate five or six occupants. It measures about 4.55 meters in length and is therefore more than 20 centimeters shorter than its big brother Ocean, but the Pear is of course not really compact either. In terms of size, you can compare it to a BMW X1. Fisker says it has done everything possible to keep the number of parts used in the model as limited as possible.

The Fisker Pair will be available with two battery packs, the smallest of which should be good for a WLTP range of 320 kilometers. The largest model should give the car a WLTP range of about 560 kilometers. There will be rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions. The initially most powerful version should be able to shoot from a standstill to a speed of 100 km / h in 6.8 seconds. A sporty top version called Extreme should also come later.

An interesting one feature of the Fisker Pear is what the brand has dubbed the Houdini tailgate, a flap that drops straight down and nestles behind the bumper. The whole is somewhat reminiscent of the tailgate construction that American manufacturers in particular used a few decades ago. Also noteworthy: the Pear has none frunk, but what Fisker refers to as a froot. What it is? A slide-out tray in the muzzle. According to Fisker, you can not only put your pizza in it, but also “[…] your sweaty sportswear.” As an option, this small storage space can be heated or cooled. The Pear also has a real Lounge Mode. At the push of a button, all seats are folded down so that, according to Fisker, a small ‘room’ is created. As an option is a 17.10-inch rotatable screen available for the Pear, which you can use in the lounge fashion can watch a movie. According to the Americans, the interior is made of recycled materials and bio stuff. The Pear is therefore the first step towards a completely ‘climate neutral’ car. Fisker wants to be able to offer such a car in 2027. Furthermore, Fisker presses his High Performance Computer and Fisker Blade piece of hardware in the Pear, a control unit with 6.2 teraflops of computing power.
The first copies of the Fisker Pear should run off the line in July 2025 in the US state of Ohio. During the IAA in Munich, an almost production-ready copy must already be admired up close.
