Face the heatwave that will hit the territory with serenity by adopting the right actions and finding the best ways to stay cool.
France is hit by a historic heatwave episode. To cope with these extreme heat, all means are good: frequent the shaded areas of parks and public gardens, cool off with public fountains, privatize a private pool for a few hours, etc.
You will find in the lines that follow, five free applications to help you withstand the heat wave.
Find a source of drinking water
We can never say it enough, during periods of hot weather, hydrate yourself! If you are not at home, finding drinking water nearby can sometimes be difficult.
To avoid going in circles, FreeTaps takes care of geolocating you and displaying on a map all the surrounding fountains or drinking water points.

A tap on one of the water points will allow you to obtain the address of the fountain, and if necessary, to launch a route to it in your usual GPS application.

Monitor your hydration
Staying hydrated during hot weather is essential. Be careful, however, to find a happy medium: drinking insufficiently propels you towards certain dehydration, and drinking in too large quantities can be dangerous for your health.

The best way to monitor your hydration is therefore to count the glasses you swallow. After entering your weight and gender, Water Time estimates the amount of water you should drink daily.
The application then makes it possible to easily add the various drinks consumed, the quantities of which are entered in the gauge. Notifications reminding you to go drink are then sent to you at regular intervals to help you meet your daily goal.
