Nice building

The only car factory that Subaru has outside the borders of its home country Japan is located in the United States. It is that American Subaru factory where a total of 5 million cars have now been built.
In April 2019, Subaru proudly announced that the Subaru factory in Lafayette, Indiana, had produced its four millionth car. More than three years later, another million Subaru’s have been added to the production counter. The five millionth Subaru built outside of Japan is a Geyser Blue painted Outback Wilderness, the most adventurous flavor the Outback comes in.
Subaru or Indiana Automotive, as the American factory is officially called, currently produces the Ascent, Impreza, Legacy and Outback. The plant was originally established through a joint venture between Subaru and Isuzu. When the factory opened its gates on September 11, 1989, Subaru built the Outback and Isuzu the simply called Pick-up pick-up. That Pick-up went elsewhere in the world as Faster, Rodeo, Dragon Eyes, Faster-Z, Dragon Power, Fuego, Invader, Ippon, KB, TF, and even as Chevrolet, GMC, Foton, Jinbei, JiangLing, Winnerway, Xinkai, Holden, Honda, Vauxhall and as Opel (Campo) through life. The American factory later became the birthplace of such cars as the Honda Passport (Isuzu Rodeo) and Toyota Camry. Since 2016, only Subaru’s have been built.
Subaru is a decent player in the United States. In 2021, for example, it sold a total of 583,810 cars.
