Five occasions with young timer status from 2021

Next year, models that came on the market in 2006 will receive young timer status, making them eligible for the young timer scheme that is popular among business drivers. You can then buy these occasions.

For the young-timer driver, there will be a lot of supply on the used car market in 2021. We have already listed the ‘new’ models in various categories: compact, coupé / convertible, SUVs, sedans, family cars and sporty bangers. So something for everyone. Of course you can search these categories to your heart’s content and then use the used car finder. During a search through all categories, these five copies came our way.

Citroën C6 3.0 V6 Exclusive – € 12,900

occasions youngtimers

In 2005 Citroën already announced its new flagship. The C6 was meant to follow in the footsteps of the DS, CX and XM. It went into production at the end of 2005, but those copies are difficult to find. It was not until 2006 that it rolled off the assembly line on a larger scale and can also be found more widely in the used car range. This copy was registered in the Netherlands on March 31, 2006 and has since been in the hands of two private individuals and a number of companies. It has a mere 204,000 kilometers behind him, but nevertheless the beige interior still looks quite fresh. The 211 hp 3.0 V6 does not provide worldly performance, but that is not necessary in a C6. Thanks to the comfort of the hydropneumatic suspension system, driving a C6 is quite an experience!

2. Peugeot 207 1.6-16V XS Pack – € 4,400

occasions youngtimers

Do you want to drive French, but no need for the costs of a battleship like the C6? Then as a young-timer driver you can also opt for the Peugeot 207 from next year. Admittedly, it is not exactly an enthusiast’s car and the design could not count on everyone’s appreciation. The 207 is, however, a more spacious and more mature car than its predecessor, the 206. This copy does not look very dull with its blue color and alloy wheels. With 135,611 kilometers, the odometer reading is also not excessive. Its 109 horsepower naturally aspirated 1.6-liter four-cylinder has come over from the 206, but that block is known as a lot more reliable than the offending 1.6 THP that came after.

3. Alfa Romeo 159 SW 3.2 JTS Q4 – € 7,400

occasions youngtimers

The Alfa Romeo 159 was already available as a sedan from 2005, in 2006 the SW was added as an extra option. It was also the last Alfa Romeo station wagon, because such a variant of the Giulia never came on the market. That place has been taken by the Stelvio. This copy was the fastest variant in the price list of the 159 SW: the 260 hp 3.2 JTS Q4. He accelerates the sprint to 100 km / h in 7.2 seconds and accelerates to 237 km / h. These are no longer very spectacular figures today, but nevertheless the 159 SW can still be called smooth. This car has been in the hands of its second private owner for the last seven years and has seen 181,082 kilometers under its wheels. Buying a used Alfa Romeo is not completely carefree, but this 159 seems to be in a good condition!

4. Mercedes-Benz R350 Lang 4Matic – € 11,950

occasions youngtimers

Originally, the Mercedes-Benz R-class was only intended for the American market, but it eventually ended up in the showroom as well. It is in fact a kind of cross between an MPV and a station wagon and is therefore difficult to divide into one segment. The R-class was never a success and depreciation has now struck considerably. This R350 dates from October 2006 and was imported to the Netherlands in 2011. Despite its hefty weight of 2,105 kilos, the 272 horsepower 3.5-liter V6 ensures that the colossus accelerates to 100 km / h in 8.4 seconds. The fixed costs are of course not tender, but it helps if you can deduct those costs from your operating profit. In any case, you get a lot of space in return.

5. Volvo C70 2.4 Momentum – € 12,900

occasions youngtimers

From 2006 there are no fewer than three cars at Volvo that will receive young timer status: the C30 (occasion oracle Nic de Boer already mentioned it in his end-of-year video) and the second generation of both the S80 and the C70. Of the S80, copies from 2006 can be found in the occasion finder, but unfortunately not of the C30. Because there is already a large sedan in this list with the Citroën C6, the C70 is discussed. With its steel folding roof, the second generation of the C70 is in fact an amalgamation of the separate coupe and convertible of the first generation. This car is fiscally advantageous to drive from June 16 and has a 2.4-liter five-cylinder 140 hp under the hood. It should be great cruising with the hood open. Bring on 2021!
