Flex flashes just in Flitsmeister
Recently, the Public Prosecution Service introduced a new type of speed camera that is somewhere between a mobile radar and a fixed speed camera. According to Flitsmeister, this new flex flash will not cause a huge shower of fines.
The flex camera is a new type of speed camera of which the Public Prosecution Service will introduce 50 units until next year. In contrast to a fixed speed camera, the flex camera stays in one place for about two months, after which it moves to another. According to the Public Prosecution Service, it can maintain the maximum speed in 150 different places with the flex flash. The flex flash can be used, among other things, at road works where, for example, a temporarily adjusted speed limit is in force. Anyone who is regularly tempted to press the accelerator too deeply will be reassured by Flitsmeister.
Jorn de Vries, director of Flitsmeister, tells ANP that the flex flashes will probably not cause a huge increase in the number of fines among users of the application. The flex flashes can also be registered as a mobile speed camera by Flitsmeister users. Of course, Flitsmeister can only agree that the flex speed cameras will have a positive effect on road safety.
