Game of Thrones apps for iOS
There are plenty of cool apps that are linked to Game of Thrones in the App Store. After waiting almost two years, it’s understandable that you need a refresher to remember all the theories and storylines. The following list of Game of Thrones apps will keep you up to date with all the ins and outs of the hit TV series, but you can also watch the episodes and even play GoT games.
1. Ziggo GO
After the seventh season of Game of Thrones, HBO Netherlands has stopped, and HBO series are now offered by Ziggo. With the correct Ziggo Subscription, you can also view all official content on your iOS device through the Ziggo GO app. The new season of Game of Thrones can of course be viewed via the application. In addition to all series and films, Ziggo GO provides you with relevant background information about the content, such as the actors and what other viewers think of the episodes.
The Ziggo GO app is an extension of the provider. To be able to watch Game of Thrones (via the app), you must be a Ziggo customer and have the Movies & Series (X)L package. With this you can watch all films and series from the HBO offer.
2. Game of Thrones
The official Game of Thrones game is made by Telltale, known for the popular The Walking Dead series. The story is set in the same world as the TV series, but follows a different storyline. In the iOS game, you follow House Forrester, a family that can be found in the Game of Thrones book series, but did not appear in the TV series.
The game is a point-and-click game, where you mainly explore the world by tapping objects and talking to characters. You regularly face difficult choices, often with the life of your own character at stake. The first episode of the game is free, after that you pay 1.99 euros per episode.
3. Reddit
The official Reddit app for iOS keeps you up to date with all the details of the series. Reddit has many pages devoted entirely to TV series, including Game of Thrones, of course. In the Game of Thrones subreddit storylines are explained, discussions are held and much more.
Even if you’re not quite up to date on the series, feel free to check out the Game of Thrones page. There are special ‘No Spoiler’ pages to be found. You can also search for specific episode pages where you will find relevant background information.
4. Game of Thrones Guide
After eight seasons, it’s not surprising if you can’t remember all the storylines from Game of Thrones. The Game of Thrones Guide app helps you get back up to date with the hit series. Hundreds of characters are explained in the guide, there is an interactive map and over 300 exclusive photos to view.
The app lends itself to both the book and the TV series. There is also a special anti-spoiler button, so that the book doesn’t tell you anything. The Game of Thrones Guide can be downloaded for free in the App Store, but you still have to pull out your wallet for all content.

5. Reigns: Game of Thrones
The cool game series Reigns also has a Game of Thrones variant. In the style of Tinder, you have to conquer the Iron Throne and imagine yourself completely in Game of Thrones. Swiping allows you to make tough decisions that lead you through the Seven Kingdoms.
With Reigns: Game of Thrones you can experience the impressive story and complex relationships that also recur in the series itself, but in a challenging game form. For a change, you play a minigame every now and then: from jousting to pub fights. All while the iconic GoT soundtrack plays.
