Ford Australia shows off an all-new Ford Everest. That still camouflaged car is a logical step, because the Everest is nothing more or less than the SUV brother of the Ranger.

The Ford Ranger was recently presented in a completely new form. The pickup begins its career in Australia, where these workhorses are in high demand, but will eventually literally take to the world. After all, the Ranger has also been available in the US for a few years and is also on the price list in the Netherlands, although it is expected to take until 2023 before the new model appears here.

Everest has a somewhat less global career. As the Ranger’s SUV sibling, it’s a true, unadulterated all-terrain vehicle, with plenty of ground clearance and a ladder-type chassis. In Europe, apart from a few lifestyle types such as the Jeep Wrangler, there is no market for this.

The Ford Everest, a competitor of the Toyota Fortuner, will never see Europe (via the official roads), but that can’t stop us from cheating with the Australians. In any case, the family connection to the Ranger is obvious. For example, we see the same front, with the characteristic C-shaped daytime running lights. The rear is logically completely different. Instead of the vertical light units that seem to be mandatory for pick-ups, the Everest gets horizontally placed light clusters, connected with a black strip.

The attached press release is mainly about the applied camouflage motif. Yet there is one concrete fact: the unveiling of the car will take place in the first quarter of 2022.
