Ford Fiesta and Puma boosted to 260 hp

The Ford Fiesta ST and Puma ST are not exactly short on power with their 200 hp. The English tuner Mountune, however, manages to squeeze more horsepower from the power plants of the two Fords.

The Ford Fiesta ST and Puma ST are two completely different models from the outside, although they share the same 200 hp petrol engine. That 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbo engine gets extra power thanks to tuner Mountune.

For the Ford Fiesta ST, Moutune already had an upgrade called M235 ready, which increased the power of the 1.5 to 235 hp. Mountune now has the M260 upgrade ready for those who were too thin on the Fiesta pumped up to 235 hp and 350 Nm. This increases the power to 260 hp and 365 Nm. Mountune had not yet prepared any weight loss programs for the Puma ST, but the company is now changing that. Just like the Fiesta ST, the Puma ST can also be increased to 235 hp and 265 hp.

The extra power comes from a special module with Bluetooth connectivity that you plug into the OBD port, although the M260 upgrade also includes a new intercooler. If you connect your smartphone with Mountune’s phone application to the module, you can adjust the character of the car to some extent. The power upgrades have relatively modest price tags. The M235 upgrade costs about €670 converted, for the M260 power cure you have lost €785.
