Ford has been doing a lot of facelifts lately. In a short time, the Fiesta and the Focus were given a new, similar face. Today we focus on the smaller and first of the two.

The current generation Fiesta appeared in 2017 and its design was a clear evolution of its predecessor, presented nine years earlier. The facelift presented in September is a classic one. Ford mainly tackles the nose and leaves the rear, except for a darker shade for the taillights and some equipment differences, undisturbed.

However, the nose is completely new. You should not confuse this with ‘completely different’, but it does mean that almost every part has been tackled. The most striking change is that the headlights are no longer somewhat in a V-shape relative to each other, but are placed a lot more horizontally. Together with a shorter bonnet, a bumper that extends more upwards and a larger grille, this provides a clearly different look. The front fenders are the only parts in front of the front doors that may have been left untouched. The interpretation of the grille is highly dependent on the chosen version, where Ford distinguishes between entry-level Trend, the ‘tough’ Active (opening photo and sliding plate) and the sporty ST-Line and ST versions.

Today, of course, we mainly distinguish between the ‘old’ and the new version of the Fiesta. Which one is preferred? Vote!
