John Hennessey and his PK buddies have done it again. Hennessey Performance has significantly increased the power of a new model. This time it is the Ford Mustang Dark Horse that gets mountains of horsepower. This is the Hennessey H850 Mustang Dark Horse.
The currently absolute top version of the Ford Mustang is a lot more powerful thanks to the American Hennessey Performance. While the Ford Mustang Dark Horse intended for Europe has 453 hp and the international version produces no less than 500 hp, this Hennessey H850 Mustang Dark Horse has no less than 862 hp and 881 Nm of power. Almost twice as strong as the European version and even stronger than the 800 hp GTD version that Ford has in the pipeline.
Of course, that power doesn’t just come to the Mustang Dark Horse. Hennessey Performance replaces the stock supercharger with one High Performancecopy, adjusts the intake tract and, in addition to the injectors, also replaces the fuel pump and rewrites the engine management system. The Hennessey H850 Mustang Dark Horse with ten-speed automatic transmission accelerates from a standstill to a speed of 97 km/h (60 mph) in 3.2 seconds. The standard instance takes 3.7 seconds for the same sprint. In terms of 0-100 sprint time, the gain is marginal, but undoubtedly the Hennessey version is considerably faster on intermediate sprints. Hennessey Performance does not release figures for the H850 with manual transmission.
