Euro NCAP has destroyed five new models. This time the electric Ford Mustang Mach-E and the Hyundai Ioniq 5 had to pay the price. The Toyota Yaris Cross, Hyundai Tucson and Bayon have also undergone safety testing. Good news: the worst score was a neat four NCAP stars.

The European branch of Global NCAP has presented the results of its latest safety tests. Four of the five wrecked cars returned home with the maximum achievable score of five stars. The Hyundai Bayon is the only car tested to score 4 stars on its report.

The compact crossover scored well in all areas, although the Hyundai dragged the fewest points in the field of safety systems. The Bayon was assessed in this area with 67 percent of the achievable points. If Hyundai is still disappointed with the fact that the Bayon did not reach five stars, Euro NCAP also has more positive news to report to the brand. Two other models did achieve 5 NCAP stars.
