Ford Puma ST gets exclusive top version

Ford Puma ST Gold Edition

Ford adds an exclusive edition to the Puma range. It concerns the Puma ST Gold Edition, a limited series to ten pieces of the sportiest Puma you can buy.

In the middle of this year, Ford showed the first images of the Puma ST Gold Edition, a special edition of the Puma ST that was put together with the help of Ford fans on social media. Ford now reports that it will bring 10 copies of the Puma ST Gold Edition to the Netherlands. The special version has a starting price of €45,845.

As the name of the Gold Edition suggests, the special Puma is finished with a series of gold-coloured details. The Agate Black Puma ST sits on 19-inch gold-coloured wheels with red brake calipers hiding behind them. Ford applies gold decals to the car and finishes the interior with Aurora Gold colored stitching that can be found not only on the seats and steering wheel, but also on the door panels and on the shifter cover.

The powertrain of the Puma ST is not tinkered with and that means that the Puma ST Gold Edition also has the 200 hp 1.5 three-cylinder under the hood. This allows the sporty crossover to reach 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds. The differential lock, which is available at an additional cost on the Puma ST, is not standard on the Gold Edition either.

Do you think the almost 46 grand that Ford asks for the Puma ST Gold Edition is a bit too much, but are you charmed by its appearance? Don’t worry, Ford also says it will come up with a similarly outfitted variant based on the Puma ST-Line X 1.0 EcoBoost Hybrid. More on that later.
