MEB for Ford, but still focus on American character

Ford’s European branch is undergoing significant reforms. In addition to the Fiesta, it will probably also stop with the Focus in a few years and wants to profile itself as more ‘American’, among other things. The brand says it will focus on its Adventurous Spirit. More interesting is the teaser of a new electric car that the brand shows.
Although the European branch of Ford is quite a German company, the base of the brand is of course in the United States. Ford wants, among other things, to build on its American origins and now describes itself, among other things, as rebellious and as a brand that cannot sit still and does not compromise. Ford therefore wants to profile itself differently in Europe and uses the term Adventurous Spirit as a guideline. In its own words, Ford already gave the starting shot of its renewed European identity with the Mustang Mach-E.
Ford only wants to supply electric passenger cars in Europe from 2030, so the brand will launch new electric models in the coming years. Ford will include an electric Puma, but there is more in the barrel. For example, Ford is already showing a teaser plate of a new electric SUV-like. How strong Ford are American roots would also like to emphasize that the new EV probably uses technology that is more German than a Bratwurst. We already know that Ford will use the Volkswagen Group’s modular EV-dedicated MEB platform for future EVs, among other things. Most likely, the electric newcomer shown uses this VW base. We expect the new electric Ford to be on the market before 2024. By then, the electric Puma and a sportier electric crossover – which may well be called Capri – should also have been unveiled.

We already know the Mustang Mach-E (second from the left), the other three new EVs will be on the market before 2024.
Incidentally, Ford has come up with four categories into which it places its passenger cars. Under the title Wild Performance include sportier models such as those of the Mustang family and the Urban Escape hangs Ford cars like the already mentioned and yet to be revealed electric Puma. ActiveAdventure is the division that includes Ford cars such as the Kuga and the teased electric SUV Ultimate Outdoor is the name that hangs above the group to which cars such as the Bronco and Ranger Raptor belong.
