The Chinese giant Geely has numerous brands under which the new Maple is now one. Maple immediately releases its first model: the 30X.
A quick look back. Shanghai Maple Auto is a brand founded in 2000 that soon fell into the hands of the great Chinese Geely. Starting in 2003, Shanghai Maple Auto (SMA) produced, among other things, somewhat sad hatchbacks that to some extent resembled the Citroën ZX (photos 6 to 9), cars that were later even fitted with Audi-like headlights. In 2010 the brand disappeared into the background, but now Geely comes with a brand that is simply called Maple. Maple’s firstborn is this 30X.
The 30X is a compact crossover that is exactly 4 meters long at 5 mm. The 1.76 meter wide and 1.58 meter high 30X is in all cases fully electric. Maple does not yet state the exact composition of the drivetrain, although the company does say that the 30X should be good for a NEDC range of 306 kilometers.
