GFG Style Bandini Dora Barchetta: one of three newcomers

Design agency GFG Style previously showed the 2030 Concept, one of the three study models that the Italian company would show to the general public at the Geneva Motor Show. To still be in the digital spotlight, GFG Style presents the 2030 Concept together with the Vision 2030 Desert Raid and the Bandini Dora on the online stage today.

Nothing will change about the 2030 Concept, which remains a poisonous green guy who describes GFG Style as an electric hyper-SUV that is ‘committed to driving in Saudi Arabia’ even after the final unveiling. For a moment it remained unclear what the company of designer Giorgetto Giugiaro and his son meant exactly. Now GFG Style says it has designed the car on behalf of Soudie Arabia. “[…] Saudi Arabia has asked us to design a car that can adapt to the infrastructure, an infrastructure that consists not only of wide roads, but also of dunes and inhospitable territory. “We already knew that the 2030 Concept should be able to various surfaces and a speed of 200 km / h, and it is now known which hardware makes those figures possible.

The 2030 Concept has a 517 hp and 680 Nm strong set of electric motors that drive all four wheels. A sprint from a standstill to a speed of 100 km / h is able to drive the concept car built around an aluminum space frame in 3.9 seconds. The battery pack has a capacity of 90 kWh and provides an electric range of 450 kilometers. The 4.77 meter long Vision 2030 can be set in three driving modes: Race, Road and Offroad. In Race mode the ground clearance is 14 centimeters, but this increases to 22 centimeters in Offroad mode. The 2030 Concept has striking doors, 22-inch light metal and an interior in which two digital displays take care of the information provision.

2030 Desert Raid

The second newcomer to GFG Style is the 2030 Desert Raid. In fact, it is nothing more than a more rugged version of the 2030 Concept. The technical specifications of the brown show car are therefore almost entirely in line with those of his poisonous green brother. Minor differences: the 2030 Desert Raid stands on 20-inch light metal with special off-road tires folded around it. The ground clearance is 24 centimeters, different driving modes do not have this more adventurous variant.

Bandini Dora

The third and final debutant of GFG Style is the Bandini Dora, a car that has little to do with its off-road brothers. The Bandini Dora is a so-called Barchetta, so a roadster. The Bandini, in which we observe influences from study models from the seventies and eighties, has a 90 kWh battery pack with which an electric range of ‘more than 450 kilometers’ must be achievable. The powertrain consists of two electric motors that generate a total of 545 hp and 680 Nm. The top speed: 250 km / h and in 3.3 seconds the Bandini Dora sprints to a speed of 100 km / h. This car too is built around an aluminum tubular frame against which body parts made of carbon fiber are mounted. The 4.8 meter long tear nose is 2 meters wide and has a wheelbase of 3 meters.

The name of the car is a nod to Bandini Automobili, an Italian car manufacturer that was founded in 1946 and was active in racing, among other things.
