Background for Facebook messages
Customize the background of a status update to suit your taste or mood. A gloomy message? For example, choose a gray or black background. A summery feeling naturally calls for a cheerful color or backgrounds with a pattern.
If you add a link or a photo, the option to use background colors will be lost. In addition, you cannot add a background to posts you create on a Page or in a group on Facebook.
Add a background to your Facebook status
How to set a wallpaper:
- Go to facebook.com or open the Facebook app.
- Log in if necessary.
- Click/tap in the ‘What are you doing’ text field.
- Click the colored icon (web) to add a wallpaper or tap Background colour (app).
- A list of choices will appear. Click/tap on one of the options. You will immediately see a preview. There are more options below this icon:
- Click/tap on the background of your choice.
- Click/tap on the text ‘What are you doing?’ and write a message.
- Click/tap Places or To share.
The message is placed in black or white letters against the chosen background.
