Unfortunately, the organization of the famous Goodwood Festival of Speed is also forced to switch to data further in the future. Because of the coronavirus, the British lift the FOS over the summer.
In its nearly 27-year history, the Festival of Speed on the Goodwood House estate has traditionally been held at the beginning of summer. This will not work this year, because it is too uncertain whether the corona crisis will allow it by then. The original dates, July 9 to 12, therefore expire. The host, the Duke of Richmond, said this in a statement to Techzle, among others.
It is not yet known when it will possibly take place after all. The organization hopes to have the Festival of Speed take place ‘late in the summer, or in the fall’. The tickets already purchased will be valid for the new dates. Goodwood Revival, which is always held later in the year, is still planned for September 11-13. However, those plans are “constantly scrutinized” as the corona crisis develops.
