Google Calendar in your iPhone calendar: this is how you sync the two

The Calendar app on your iPhone works very nicely. Especially when you use multiple Apple devices and therefore the ecosystem of the company. But how do you make the switch if you use Google Calendar?

In this article Mark will explain it to you step by step.

Sync Google Calendar with your iPhone

There are several reasons why someone used to use Google Calendar and eventually want to switch to the Calendar app on the iPhone. That reason doesn’t matter too much, it’s just that you can combine the two. You do, of course, need to know how to do that.

Follow the next steps and it’s beeping like this:

  • Open Institutions on your iPhone
  • Go to agenda
  • Select the option Accounts
  • Then press New account
  • Press google and login
  • Then you see gmail between your accounts
  • Select this option and put Calendars at

When you have completed these steps, your Google Calendar will be loaded into the Calendar app on your iPhone. After a few minutes, go to the application, then press Calendars and select your Gmail account. You will now see all your appointments in your standard iPhone calendar. Of course it is also possible to switch your agenda on and off, so that you can easily separate your business agenda and personal agenda.

This is how you set it as default

It is of course also possible to set your Google Calendar on your iPhone as the default calendar. If you don’t, new appointments are constantly linked to your iPhone calendar. That’s not such a disaster in principle, but it is inconvenient if you use Google Calendar on another device. In that regard, it’s not a bad idea to keep the agenda universal.

You do this by following the steps below:

  • Go to Institutions
  • Select the option agenda
  • Swipe down until you see the option Default calendar encounters
  • Press and select gmail

Voila! Your Google Calendar is not only linked to your iPhone calendar, but is also your default calendar from now on.
