Chrome’s browser has a function to automatically generate passwords with an excellent level of security, when registering on websites.
Fed up with finding new passwords when you register on a website? Chrome can do it for you! Indeed, the browser has a password generation function that just requires you to have a Google account. Here’s how to use it:
- Launch Chrome and go to settings by going through the menu or typing vs in the address area. Click on Log into Chrome and enter your email address, as well as your Google password. Then click on the OK button to confirm the connection.

- To activate password generation, type chrome: // flags in the address area to access the experimental functions, then password in the search box.

- Click on the drop-down list in front of the function Password generation and choose Enabled. Click on the button at the bottom of the screen Relaunch Now to relaunch Chrome.
- Now, when registering on a site, click on the password field and Chrome generates it automatically.

- Then, the browser will propose to insert the password in the appropriate field when connecting to the same site.

- The process is valid for new registrations, but also for sites where you have already registered. For added security, log into these sites, request a password change, and let Chrome generate the new password.

- In addition, the password will be available on any mobile device that uses Chrome and your Google account, thanks to the synchronization system between the different devices. But if you want to display the ones that Chrome has generated, go to the section Manage passwords from Settings.

Go to the section Saved passwords and click on the eye icon for the site you are interested in. The password will then be displayed in plain text.
