In 2024, Google came out with the new Google Pixel 9 series, consisting of the Pixel 9, the Pixel 9 Pro and the Pixel 9 Fold. The Google Pixel 9 Pro (Professional) distinguishes itself from the 9 in terms of cameras, screen size, capacity of the battery and some other features such as macro and advanced image editing options. Points for improvement compared to the Pixel 8 are the faster processor, improved cameras, larger battery, faster charging, brighter screen and flatter design.

This smartphone has a modern, professional and sleek look with rounded corners and weighs 200 grams. The 6.3inch screen has a Super Acta LTPO OLED panel with a resolution of 2856 x 1280 pixels, an image change from 1 to 120Hz and a maximum HDR clarity to peak 3000 nits. This offers an excellent image that is clearly visible under all circumstances. The extra durable Cornilla Gorilla Glass Victus 2, both front and rear, is contained in a shiny aluminum frame. Behind is the glass (with our test model) business gray -green, other available colors are rose quartz, obsidian and porcelain. The whole meets IP68 and is therefore dust and waterproof.
The SIM card slot can be found at the bottom. On the back we see a wide camera island about 2.5 mm high, which makes the device stable on a surface. The battery measures 4700 mAh, good for more than a day with standard use. Loading goes a bit slow with max. 27 watts and needs more than an hour for fully charging. Qi-threadless loading is also possible, but then max. 21 watts.

Conclusion
The execution of the Google 9 is premium with excellent cameras, clean Android functions and no less than 7 years in Android and Safety Updates and this easily manageable model can compete with other high-end models.
