GPTs for fun: our selection

At the beginning of January 2024, OpenAI launched its GPT Store, which has been awaited for some time. This library brings together hundreds of GPTs (generative pre-trained transformers), which are personalized versions of ChatGPT. Enriched by specific instructions, prepromts or more extensive knowledge bases, GPTs can only be used by holders of a ChatGPT Plus subscription at $20 (excl. VAT) per month. The development of GPTs is accessible to everyone and OpenAI plans to eventually monetize this particular branch of its artificial intelligence.

As GPTs can be designed by anyone, they exist in all fields: development, lifestyle, math, writing, etc. It often even happens that several GPTs, developed by different people, have a similar use. So how to choose? Here we offer you a selection of GPTs designed for fun, sometimes with the intervention (transparent for the user) of DALL·E 3 image-generative artificial intelligence.

Summary

1. Simpson by Artisen

For Simpsons fans, this GPT is perfect! It uses DALL·E 3 technology to transform a photo into a character characteristic of the series: yellow color, large round bulging eyes without iris… For this, no need to discuss with the GPT or explain to him what he must do , simply upload a photo in the input field and it automatically starts generating one or two “Simpsonized” images.

As is the case in ChatGPT and most GPTs, if the result is not suitable, it is possible to correct it with a prompt such as: “The original image has shorter hair and earrings “. The image obtained can be downloaded like any image in DALL·E 3, by clicking on the pictogram provided for this purpose. Each time an image is created, Simpson offers links to 3 other GPTs designed by the same developer. Small bonus: the tool can give general advice on the production of visuals (software, composition, colors, styles, etc.)

2. Genz 4 meme from ChatGPT

For some, it is difficult to understand the language of generation Z, these young people born between 1997 and 2010. The GPT genz 4 meme is a kind of interactive Urban Dictionary, which serves as a translator and explains unknown expressions. To do this, he uses the very language of Gen Z, which allows him to go from definition to definition and from discovery to discovery, often in a humorous tone.

Genz 4 meme was designed by the ChatGPT team and not by an independent developer. The promise announced: “We are here to translate Gen Z language into something that even a boomer can understand. » And for Gen Z themselves, this GPT gives them tools to explain their favorite expressions to older people.

In addition to a lexicon, genz 4 meme is a meme generator. On a theme, the GPT gives the main points of the meme, always in Gen Z language (enough to continue learning new words!). On the other hand, unlike other meme generators, it does not create the visual corresponding to its explanation, but offers ways to compose it yourself: template, images, text, etc.

3. Minion Maker by Joao Aguiam

In the same way that GPT Simpson transforms a photo into a character from the TV series, Minion Maker generates a Minion, like in the animated prequel film to Despicable Me. Simply upload an image into the GPT’s input field and it gets to work creating an avatar. To do this, it uses DALL·E 3 technology.

Minion Maker sometimes takes some liberties, apparently to add a fun side to the tool. To put it back on track or modify certain things on the generated Minion, simply ask it, in the form of a prompt. Created Minions can be downloaded like any image produced by DALL·E 3.

This GPT doesn’t just generate Minions from a photo. It is also possible to give him a description from which he produces a 100% original and personalized Minion. Here too, you can request changes to the rendering after the fact: color of eyes, glasses, hair, clothing styles… With Minion Maker, there are almost no limits to the creation of Minions in a few seconds!

4. Tarot Advisor by Kevin Li

Who doesn’t want to know their future? This is what the GPT Tarot Advisor offers. All you have to do is ask him a question and he starts by generating (sometimes…) an image of the Marseille tarot cards he has just drawn, against a backdrop of candles and mystical decor.

Then, let’s go for the explanation: meaning, tendency and interpretation of each card, then an overall analysis of the draw with the interactions between the cards. The print is not precise enough? It is of course possible to ask Tarot Advisor to focus better on the initial question.

This GPT is for entertainment use only and he makes that clear if asked how it works or what exactly it can do. And there is no point in asking him for the lottery numbers, he quickly reminds us of the rules of the game: interpretation of tarot cards, perspectives and reflections, nothing else!

As is the case with a real tarot reading, it is possible to ask Tarot Advisor to draw new cards in order to obtain more details.

5. RATC GPTs EmojiAI

Here is a new kind of translator, since EmojiAI offers to translate words, sentences and even entire paragraphs into emojis. By default, it tends to just insert emojis into text, but if you ask nicely, you can easily get emoji-only content.

Unlike other GPTs which already include the preprompt of what is expected of them, here you have to ask what you want to obtain, for example “I would like a translation into emojis of this text” or “Can Do you add emojis to text to make it more lively? “. Thus, the GPT can, as desired, decorate a text with emojis or replace all or part of the words in the text with emojis.

To go further, EmojiAI is a two-way translator: it is also possible to give it a series of emojis and ask it what it could mean. Try it, you might be surprised!

To spend a few minutes relaxing and having fun or to challenge yourself with friends, EmojiAI keeps all its promises.
