GTO Engineering’s Project Moderna from all angles

Under the title Project Moderna, GTO Engineering is working hard on a classically styled coupé that is unmistakably inspired by the 1959 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta. GTO Engineering now shares new design sketches of its newcomer.

Until recently, GTO Engineering was mainly concerned with making restomods, restored classics that are equipped with modern techniques to a certain extent. The company also has its own car, a classically designed coupé that it is developing under the name Project Modena. The self-developed car can now be seen from all angles, although GTO Engineering is still keeping images of the interior under its cap.

The Project Moderna will be a sports coupé weighing less than 1,000 kilos with an already interesting powertrain on paper. The newcomer, strongly resembling the Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta of the late 1950s, will get a V12 with four camshafts, a machine that sends its forces to the rear wheels via a manual transmission. The Project Moderna is built around a tubular steel frame and an aluminum subframe. Interested parties can already contact GTO Engineering to reserve one. How many copies GTO Engineering will build and what they will cost is not yet known.
