Harley-Davidson has rolled out a recall for the RH975 Nightster launched this year. The inner and outer sections of the handlebars may not be properly welded together, which could cause them to loosen and you could lose control of the bike.

In April this year, Harley-Davidson learned that a motorcyclist’s left side of the handlebar had broken off while riding. From the photos attached to the warranty claim, it appeared that the left part of the center section welded handlebars had come loose.
An investigation was immediately launched by Harley-Davidson, which revealed that an estimated 1.63% of the handlebars were incorrectly welded. As a result of the inferior weld, it can crack and the steering parts can come loose.
The recall concerns the 2022 RH975 Nightster, with production dates from December 6, 2021 to September 9, 2022. Motorcycles assembled after September 9 will have handlebars manufactured using an improved manufacturing method.
At the Harley dealership, the handlebars will be replaced with a new one manufactured using the improved production method.
