Six-wheeled monster with 700 hp
In the world of automotive excesses, the American Hennessey Performance regularly competes for a place on the throne. This time the company conjures up the VelociRaptoR 6×6, a 700 hp Ford F-150 Raptor R with six wheels and enormous ground clearance.
You have been able to turn to the Texans of Hennessey Performance for years for extra heavy versions of mostly American cars. The Ford Bronco, Mustang and countless SUVs and pick-ups from Ford, Ram, Chevrolet, Jeep and Cadillac, among others, not only have heavy power, but also often elevator kits provided. The Ram TRX has even been converted into a six-wheeled colossus by the Americans and the Ford F-150 Raptor can even be converted into a six-wheeled monster. Now Hennessey Performance has also transformed the superlative of the Ford F-150 Raptor into a 6×6. This is the Hennessey Performance VelociRaptoR 6×6.

Hennesey, which also sells a self-developed supercar with the Venom F5, has grabbed the 700 hp Ford F-150 R by its claws, raised it and screwed in a second rear axle. To make room for the extra rear axle, Hennessey has replaced the 1.67 meter long standard cargo box with a 2.4 long one. As an additional advantage, this provides a further 45 percent more cargo space, Hennessey Performance proudly reports.
The approximately 8.2 meter long (!) VelociRaptoR 6×6 is more than 2 meters high and weighs roughly 3,000 kilos and is propelled by a 5.2 V8 with supercharger. That is ‘just’ the machine that Ford itself hangs in the F-150 Raptor R and that is good for 700 hp and 864 Nm. Hennessey Performance is asking a very hefty $499,999 – more than €450,000 – for the VelociRaptoR 6×6. You no longer have to supply a Raptor R for this. That makes a difference …
