Hispano Suiza with special Carmen to Geneva

One of the two companies that calls itself Hispano Suiza, showed the Carmen to the public at the Geneva Motor Show last year. This fully electric supercar is returning to the Swiss stock exchange this year, but of course not just like that.

Carmen from Hispano Suiza, who was presented in Geneva last year, is an electric newcomer with a striking play of lines that will be put in the spotlight again soon. Hispano Suiza is taking a special edition of the no less than 1,000 HP strong powerhouse to the Swiss fair: the Carmen Boulogne.

According to Hispano Suiza, the Carmen Boulogne pays tribute to the special racing versions of the H6 that the manufacturer started during the George Boillot Cup in 1921. The five racers who raced around during this race series were given the addition ‘Boulogne’ after their name. Hispano Suiza indicates that it is a Carmen with details that refer to these antique racers. Images of the special Carmen Boulogne are not yet available.

Carmen

The strikingly lined Carmen has a fully electric power train whose muscle power comes from two electric motors that each drive a rear wheel. The combined capacity is 1,019 hp, good for a sprint from a standstill to a speed of 100 km / h in less than three seconds. The top speed is 250 km / h. There is an 80 kWh large battery pack in the bottom, although there will also be a variant with a 105 kWh unit. The radius of action of the latter version is said to be more than 400 kilometers. Despite the presence of the battery pack, the Carmen must weigh less than 1,700 kilos. That relatively low weight is also possible thanks to the car’s carbon fiber base. Hispano Suiza Cars is only going to build nineteen copies, each of which will change ownership for no less than 1.5 million euros. The first Carmens must be delivered mid-2020.
