Honda Jazz as a sporty Modulo X

The Honda Jazz may not be the first car you expect a sporty version of. Nevertheless, the compact Honda, which is only available in Europe with a hybrid powertrain, is introduced to a spruced up version. We welcome: the Honda Jazz Modulo X.

Modulo is the name of Honda’s accessories division in Japan and it is that branch that has plunged into the Honda Fit. The name fit has of course nothing to do with the condition of the compact Honda, it is the name that the Jazz has in the United States, China and home country Japan.

The Honda Fit Modulo X has special and sportier-looking bumpers on both the front and rear. Honda mounts a honeycomb grille in the snout of the car. Normally, the Jazz with hybrid powertrain has a relatively dense nose. At the top of the rear, Honda hangs a small rear spoiler, a copy that, like the side mirror caps and large parts of the bumpers, are finished in black. Honda continues the Fit Modulo X on 16-inch alloy with a design inspired by that of Honda’s Super GT racer. Although the hybrid drivetrain is not being tinkered with, the Fit Modulo X should feel just a bit more dynamic thanks to modified dampers.

You can already feel it coming: the Fit Modulo X is for the time being purely and only intended for the Japanese market. Would a sportier variant of the Jazz Hybrid be something for the Dutch market?
