It doesn’t happen often with Honda, but this one is particularly serious. Honda has discovered that the plugs of the right crankcase cover may pop out, allowing the hot oil to spray out of the block under pressure.

In the best case scenario, only the oil level drops, but the oil could also hit your leg, ignite because it came into contact with the hot exhaust, or get on your rear tire and you crash as a result. Oh yes, not to forget, it is also a burden on the environment.

The recall affects the 2023 CRF300 and CRF300 Rally produced between December 8, 2022 and January 12, 2023 and the 2022 CB300R (CBF300NA) with production dates from February 19, 2022 to January 2, 2023.

Owners will be notified by letter and requested to contact the Honda dealer who will replace the right side cover free of charge.
