The Shanghai Motor Show opens its doors on April 21. Toyota is showing a completely new electric SUV there, but Honda also has an electric newcomer behind the scenes!
Honda is already shedding light on what it will bring to the Shanghai Motor Show, which will be held between April 21-28. The brand puts cars like the Crider and Breeze from joint venture GAC Honda on the Chinese exhibition floor, not known here, and the Dongfeng Honda partnership is launching cars like the Inspire (Accord) and Elysion (Oddyssey). All existing models, but Honda also parks two newcomers between those cars.
For example, the brand says it will take a new plug-in hybrid to Shanghai. It may be the plug-in hybrid variant of the already mentioned Breeze. Honda is also bringing a prototype of its first electric car for the Chinese market. The electric Honda E is not for sale in China. Honda’s latest EV is very likely an almost production-ready version of the Honda SUV e: Concept, the study model that Honda showed in Beijing last September. More later this month!
