After announcing the bike, Honda unveiled the Hawk 11, the new Africa Twin-engined cafe racer at the Osaka Motor Show. The newest addition to the 1100 family will arrive at Japanese dealers in the fall, it is unclear whether it will also be marketed in Europe.
Officially, Honda still hasn’t released much information about the Hawk 11 presented last weekend in Osaka, apart from two studio photos and a YouTube video on a third-party channel, nothing at all, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have any of it. know.
After the CRF1100L Africa Twin, the Rebel 1100 and NT1100, the Hawk 11 is the fourth model to be powered by the 1,084 cc parallel twin, the fifth model if you count the Africa Twin Adventure Sports as a different model.
With its cool neo-café racer looks, the Hawk 11 will undoubtedly be seen as the successor to the CB1100, which has been taken out of production by Honda. Some bicycle parts seem to have been taken over from the NT1100, including the 17″ wheels, but the exact specifications remain a mystery for the time being.
Where the block in the NT1100 has a top power of 102 hp at a maximum torque of 104 Nm, we would not be surprised if the figures of the Hawk 11 are closer to the Rebel 1100: 86 hp @ 8,000 rpm and 98 Nm @ 4,750 rpm. Or something in between, that’s also possible. A maximum power of 95 hp would be very logical, then it can be made suitable for the A2 driver’s license.
That is, if Honda decides to also market it in Europe, because that is also unknown for the time being. However, we think so. The Hawk 11 will arrive at Japanese dealers this fall, after which it would make sense to unveil the European version around the time of the EICMA in Milan.
