Parking on the street in Antwerp

Parking on the street in Antwerp is limited and relatively more expensive. For example, the city wants to keep these places available mainly for short-term parking. Just like Brussels and Ghent, Antwerp has different rate zones for parking. Each rate zone is divided into several zone codes which are identified by an AN number (ANxxx). These are also on the information boards and vending machines. When you start a parking session, it is only valid for one license plate within the chosen zone code. You can therefore move the car within the same zone code during a parking session.

If you park on the street, the first ten minutes are free in each zone and the same applies if you park in another zone afterwards. In the ‘real’ center of Antwerp you can park on the street for a maximum of 3 hours. The rate also increases over time.

You can pay for the parking sessions on the street at the payment terminal or by using a parking app. Tip: the Parkmobile app also works directly in Belgium as in the Netherlands and vice versa!
