Permanently get rid of unexpected permission requests to show notifications in your Google Chrome web browser.
Who hasn’t been annoyed by the sudden appearance of a pop-up asking for permission to send a notification when surfing the web?
While the practice is common, and can be useful for keeping abreast of the latest news posted on a site, the systematic display of an authorization pop-up can quickly become annoying.

It is perfectly possible to refuse this request by clicking on the “Block” button, but the manipulation must be repeated each time you go to a new site offering this service.
Here’s what to do to permanently prevent this kind of alert from opening unexpectedly in Google Chrome.
1. Access notification settings
Launch Google Chrome and type “chrome: // settings / content / notifications” in the address bar.

2. Deactivate the authorization
To suppress the display of pop-ups, simply turn off the switch allowing sites to “Ask for permission before sending” a notification.
Once this item is disabled, the label should change to “Blocked”.
