Sign in to online apps and services using your Apple ID directly and keeping your personal data secure.
With iOS 13, Apple introduced a new way to connect to online apps and services from an iPhone or iPad. This sign-in service allows you to use your existing Apple ID to create an account or sign in on a platform without having to fill out a form or create a password.
Even better, this new method allows you to withhold your email address from the platforms where you sign up or log in, leaving you in control of your personal information. No need to use your Facebook account or your Google account to log in.
To use Sign In with Apple, you must have an Apple ID with two-factor authentication enabled and be signed in to your iCloud account with it.
1. Connect with Apple
To use the connection service with Apple, the services or applications you are using must already offer the function. This is for example the case of Kayak, Lifecake, Soundhound, Fabulous or even WordPress. Note, however, that Connection with Apple will be mandatory from April 2020 for all applications that allow identification through a third-party service. We should therefore soon see a proliferation of programs that benefit from it.
If you see a Sign in with Apple or Continue with Apple button when you create or sign in to an account, you can use your Apple ID to sign in.

2. Validate your connection information
When you sign in with your Apple ID, the app asks you whether or not you want to share the email address associated with your Apple ID.
By default, your address is not shared. You can also choose to edit or delete your first and last name. Then press Continue.

Unlike a classic registration, which requires you to fill out a form with your personal information, or to validate the connection with your profile on social networks, the registration and connection with your Apple ID, is done transparently almost instantly. .
When creating an account, Apple generates a random email address that will automatically redirect messages it receives to your Apple ID email address.
3. Use Connection with Apple from another platform
What about using the Connection with Apple from an Android smartphone or a classic web browser? The operation is almost equally transparent. Click the Continue with Apple button.
On the Apple sign-in page attached to the app, use your Apple ID and password to sign in.

Then validate the two-factor authentication by entering the code received on your Apple device, click on Trust to validate the use of your browser, and finally, click on Continue to confirm the connection to the service using your Apple ID.

4. Manage apps using your Apple ID
If for some reason you no longer want to use your Apple ID to sign in to an app or service, it is entirely possible to remove the connection.
To do this, open iPhone Settings, enter the detailed information of your Apple ID, and go to the Password & Security menu.

Then enter Apps using your Apple ID, and tap one of the apps to view its details.

You can then choose to disable Forward to, to no longer receive emails transferred to your email address, but also to stop using Apple ID to log in.
