When it comes to safety, you have to know how to strike a balance between constraints and flexibility. Here’s how to avoid having to type in a password all the time when you’re at home or in the office.
Since Android 5, it is possible to automate the locking and unlocking of a mobile when the latter is within Bluetooth range of a device deemed to be safe or in places where security measures are not required. Once these locations have been defined, the lock will be automatically lifted when you arrive at the office and reactivated when you walk through the doors.
Activate Smart Lock and its smart locks

To access advanced locking features, open mobile settings. Go to the Security section (or Security and location depending on the version of Android) and tap on the Smart Lock label. Android then verifies that you are the owner of the device by asking you to identify yourself. Depending on the lock device set, you will therefore have to enter a PIN code, draw a diagram on the screen or place your finger on the fingerprint sensor.
Adopt a geolocated unlocking

Choose the Trusted places option then tap on the command + Add a trusted place. Touch Select this location at the bottom of the screen, then touch Select and Yes to save your current location. If you want to configure a location other than where you are, enter the address in the search field. You can thus define as many places as necessary: home, office, country house, etc.
Disable security in the presence of a certified device

Smart Lock also offers a locking option linked to the mobile environment. This time, it is a question of deactivating the security device when you are near a Bluetooth device appearing in a list of trusted devices. It can be a connected watch, a headset or a wireless speaker, for example. On the Smart Lock home page, tap Verified devices, Add verified device. Select the device from the list of Bluetooth devices associated with the mobile and validate.
