Modify the parameters of your Freebox on the subscriber interface of your operator to put an end to unwanted calls on your fixed telephone line.
What could be more annoying than repeated unwanted calls to your landline? Tax cuts, insulation at 1 euro or installation of double-glazed windows, unscrupulous direct sellers are on the war footing to try to bait you and get you to sign their offer.
The companies at the origin of these canvassing do not hesitate to increase the number of calls in the same day, or even to try their luck again the following days, using traditional numbers to get you off the hook.
There is indeed the BlocTel service, set up by the government to allow consumers to add their number to a list of opposition to canvassing, but the effectiveness of the service is only relative. Internet service providers understand this and offer options to block these unwanted calls. This is particularly the case with Free, which makes it possible to block unwanted calls from its subscriber interface.
1. Log in to the subscriber interface
Go to the login page of your Free subscriber interface and log in using your username and password.

2. Access the telephony settings
Once connected to the freebox subscriber interface, click on Telephony in the left column.

In the list of options presented, go to Manage my telephone services to view and modify the parameters associated with your line.

3. Reject anonymous calls
In your quest for peace of mind, start by rejecting anonymous phone calls. Locate the Anonymous call rejection line and select Yes.

The correspondents who try to reach you on your freebox line by masking their number, will be warned that you refuse calls with hidden numbers and will not be able to contact you as long as they use an option to hide their number.
4. Filter incoming calls and unsolicited calls
Now scroll through all the options in the Telephony section until you reach Incoming call screening and click Yes.
In the Unsolicited Call Filter line, expand the drop-down menu on the right and choose Active-High Tranquility. The blacklist of rejected numbers is fully managed by Free
Do not forget to save your preferences by clicking on the Save button present at the very bottom of the page.

5. Disappear from the directory
The best way to get your number out of the direct seller listings is to disappear from the directory. By default, your freebox line number, your name and your address are automatically present in the directory if you have not objected to them.
Go back to the main Telephony options page and click on the Manage my information menu in the directory.

For each available line, the freebox subscriber interface indicates whether the information is published or not in the directory. If a row is marked as published, click Edit this information.

On the line The following data intended for the universal directory will be published, select NO and click on Save.

Repeat this step for each of your lines published in the universal directory.
If the option of blocking unwanted calls offered by Free is not perfect (it is not possible to manually add a number to the blacklist), it will at least make it possible to reduce their number and limit them to the future on your Freebox line.
