The internal messaging of the social network allows its users to cancel the sending of a message in a conversation.
If you’re a frequent user of Instagram’s built-in direct messaging, you’ve probably found yourself hitting the send button a little too quickly when your message was riddled with mistakes. Do not panic, it is quite possible to retrieve a message already sent, before your correspondent reads it.
Open Instagram on your smartphone and go to the dedicated messaging. Enter the conversation in which you want to delete a wrong message and make a long press on the message to delete. In the tooltip that appears, tap Remove.
Confirm the deletion of the message by tapping Remove in the pop-up that appears. The message will then be deleted on your side, but also on the recipient’s side. Repeat the operation for all the messages you want to delete in your conversations.
